Page: https://docs.aggre.org/datasets/filings · Section: Datasets · All pages: https://docs.aggre.org/llms.txt

US public-company disclosures from the SEC's EDGAR system and members of Congress's stock-trade disclosures. Reference: [Filings routes](https://docs.aggre.org/api/data/filings.md).

All routes share the standard envelope, strict query parameters, opaque cursors and a per-row `credit`. A CIK is one to ten digits, with or without leading zeros (returned padded).

## SEC EDGAR {#edgar}

| Dataset | Route | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| `finance.filings.companies` | `/v1/finance/filings/companies` | The companies on the coverage list, ordered by `cik`. Filters `cik`, `ticker`, `sic`. |
| `finance.filings.filings` | `/v1/finance/filings/filings` | `cik` required; `form`, `from`, `to`, `order`. |
| `finance.filings.company_facts` | `/v1/finance/filings/company_facts` | As-filed XBRL facts, never overwritten; `value` is a decimal string. `cik` required; `concept`, `unit`, `period_from`, `period_to`, `fiscal_year`, `fiscal_period`, `latest`. |
| `finance.filings.fundamentals` | `/v1/finance/filings/fundamentals` | Normalized fundamentals per fiscal period, **computed by Aggre** from the as-filed facts and not published by the SEC (`meta.message` says how). `cik` required; `fiscal_period` (`FY` or `Q`); `limit` default 12; no cursor. |
| `finance.filings.insider_transactions` | `/v1/finance/filings/insider_transactions` | Form 4. `cik` is the **issuer's**, required; `from`, `to` on `transaction_date`, `code`, `amendments` (`collapse` default, or `all`). |
| `finance.filings.fails_to_deliver` | `/v1/finance/filings/fails_to_deliver` | `symbol` required; `from`, `to` on `settlement_date`, `order`. The CUSIP column is never stored. |
| `finance.filings.holdings_13f` | `/v1/finance/filings/holdings_13f` | One institution's holding of a company in one quarter, from the SEC's Form 13F data sets. Give `ticker` **or** `issuer_cik`. **Matched by the issuer's name** (the CUSIP is neither read nor stored), so a row may include another class of the same issuer and a differently spelled one may be missing; `meta.message` always says so. `consistent` is `false` for a row whose price (`value_usd / shares`) is more than 5 times from that quarter's median for the stock; such rows are hidden unless `consistent=all`. |
| `finance.filings.news_8k` | `/v1/finance/filings/news_8k` | The company's 8-K and 8-K/A reports, newest first, with their items and, where a press release came with it, the Exhibit 99 **file names** and short descriptions. **No text of any release or filing is stored or served**: open `url` (the report on EDGAR). Give `cik` or `ticker`; `from`, `to` on `filed_on`; `item`. `exhibits_complete` is `false` while the report may carry a release and its EDGAR header page has not been read yet. |

Ordering, `meta` and the two clocks (when a filing was filed and when Aggre read it) are described on each route in the [reference](https://docs.aggre.org/api/data/filings.md).

## US Congress stock trades {#congress}

`GET /v1/finance/filings/congress_trades` lists trades that members of Congress reported under the STOCK Act, newest trade first.

- Filters: `politician` (name substring), `ticker`, `chamber` (`Senate` or `House`), `type` (`buy`, `sell`, `exchange`), `from`/`to` (on `transaction_date`), `disclosed_from`/`disclosed_to` (on `disclosure_date`).
- **Disclosed weeks after the trade**: `transaction_date` is the trade, `disclosure_date` the day it was reported.
- **Amounts are ranges** the report uses, not exact values. `owner` may be a spouse or child.
- `meta.source` is the rows' source when they share one, else `aggre`; `meta.dataset.sources` lists each source's terms. `meta.message` always carries the standing caveats: not a recommendation, use restrictions on financial-disclosure reports, and "Terms not read" while a source's terms are unread.
- The only source built is a community aggregate (`senate_stock_watcher`), which is **not** the Senate's own record. Check `source` on each row.
- Freshness window 72 hours.
