Official lists and documents that sit next to statutes. Reference: [Legal routes](https://docs.aggre.org/api/data/legal.md). Statutes have [their own guide](https://docs.aggre.org/datasets/legal-statutes.md).

## Name lists {#name-lists}

| Dataset | What a row is | Publisher | Stale after |
|---|---|---|---|
| `legal.regulatory.ofac_sdn` | One SDN entry (person, entity, vessel, aircraft) | US Treasury OFAC | 48 hours |
| `legal.regulatory.un_sanctions` | One entry of the UN Security Council consolidated list | UN Security Council | 72 hours |
| `legal.regulatory.us_exclusions` | One entry of the List of Excluded Individuals/Entities | HHS Office of Inspector General | 10 days |

Routes:

- `GET /v1/legal/regulatory/entries?dataset=...` — `dataset` is required. Optional: `q` with `match=prefix` or `exact`, `kind`, `listed_from`, `removed=exclude|include|only`, `cursor`, `limit` (1 to 200, default 50).
- `GET /v1/legal/regulatory/entry?dataset=...&entry_id=...` — one entry with its names and attributes. A delisted entry is still found and carries `removed_on`.

Rules that matter:

- **Name search is exact or prefix only and is never a screening verdict.** Every response says so in `meta.message`. Do not use these routes as a compliance screening engine: they do not do fuzzy matching, transliteration or alias resolution.
- Entries are served as the publisher publishes them; removals are kept as history (`removed=include` or `only`).
- The HHS-OIG list carries no entry id, so Aggre derives one and says so on each row.
- `license` and `attribution` are `null` until a person has read the list's terms; the API then says "Terms not read".
- `meta.dataDate` is the publisher's list date and `meta.lastReadAt` is Aggre's last successful full read.
- Usage records the list you asked for, never the query or the entry id.

## Taiwan FSC news {#fsc-news}

`GET /v1/legal/regulatory/fsc_news` serves items from the Financial Supervisory Commission's five official RSS feeds: press releases, penalty cases, announcements, draft-regulation notices and law interpretations.

- Filters: `category`, `published_from`, `published_to`; `include=text` adds the plain-text description (then `limit` is at most 100); `cursor`, `limit`.
- Newest first (undated last), then category, then guid. Titles, links and publication days are as published. Items that left a feed are kept.
- This is not the articles behind the links, and there is no search. `meta.dataset` carries the item count and per-category counts; `meta.message` says "Terms not read" while nobody has read the FSC's terms. Stale after 48 hours.

## Taiwan standard-form contracts {#contracts}

Model contracts (範本) and the terms a contract must and must not contain (應記載及不得記載事項), from the Executive Yuan's website, with machine-extracted text of each attached file.

- `GET /v1/legal/contracts/tw_standard_forms` lists forms without text (filters `kind`, `q`, `issuer`, `published_from`, `published_to`, `updated_since`, `include_removed`; ordered by `form_id`).
- `GET /v1/legal/contracts/tw_standard_forms/{form_id}` returns the form, every version (oldest first) and the files of one version with their text (`version` picks an older one; `text=false` leaves the text out).
- Extracted text is machine output and may contain errors. Stale after 14 days. `503 terms_unread` until the publisher's terms are recorded as read.
