# Taiwan equities

## Datasets {#datasets}

All routes are `GET /v1/finance/equities_tw/{name}`.

| `daily_close` | One security's trading day | Open, high, low, close, volume, value. |
| `valuation_daily` | Valuation ratios of a trading day | P/E, dividend yield, P/B. |
| `institutional_daily` | Foreign, investment-trust and dealer net trades | **TPEx only**; the TWSE file is not read. |
| `margin_daily` | Margin and short balances | **TPEx only**; the TWSE margin file names no day and is excluded. |
| `monthly_revenue` | A company's revenue for one month | A revision is a new `version`. |
| `statements` | Quarterly income statement or balance sheet | Six industry formats; a revision is a new `version`. Amounts in **thousand NT$**, as published. |
| `indices` | Close of an exchange index on a trading day | |
| `sources` | The upstream files, their licence, terms state and last read | |

## Using them {#using}

- `security_id` is `TWSE:2330` or `TPEX:6488`. Dates are ISO (`YYYY-MM-DD`); the exchanges' Republic-of-China calendar dates are converted.
- Read a **history** with `security_id` (newest first by default) or a one-day **cross-section** with `date` (ascending `security_id` by default). The day routes take one or the other, not both.
- Statement and revenue amounts are in thousand NT$ and are not converted.
- `monthly_revenue` and `statements` take `versions` and `as_of` like [macro observations](https://docs.aggre.org/datasets/macro.md#revisions).
- Staleness is judged only for unpinned views: a request with `date=` or `as_of=` is never `stale`. `meta.fetchedAt` is `null` for a view nothing has read yet.

## Attribution {#attribution}

Every response carries `meta.attribution`: the Open Government Data License credit for the sources of the rows returned, as `[{source_id, credit}]`. Show it with the data ([Attribution](https://docs.aggre.org/concepts/attribution.md)). Every source is switched on only after its terms are recorded as read.
