# Introduction

> Aggre is one keyed HTTP API in front of market, macro, filings, legal, health and on-chain datasets, with a console to manage keys.

Aggre is a data bank. You read many kinds of data (exchange candles, official macro series, SEC filings, Taiwan equities, statutes and government name lists, health registries, DeFi figures) through **one HTTP API and one kind of API key**, and every row says where it came from, when it was read and what credit its publisher asks for.

## The pieces

| Piece | Address | What it is |
|---|---|---|
| Data API | `https://api.aggre.org` | Read-only JSON over HTTPS. API key in a header. No cookies, no browser (CORS) access. |
| Console | `https://app.aggre.org` | Sign in, create API keys, manage organizations, see usage, browse datasets. |
| Accounts API | `https://accounts.aggre.org` | What the console calls (cookie session). You only need it to build your own console. |
| Documentation | `https://docs.aggre.org` | This site. Every page is also available as Markdown. |

The full list with dataset ids is on [Datasets](https://docs.aggre.org/datasets.md). Which datasets hold data right now is not fixed in these pages: each source is switched on only after a person has read its publisher's terms, and the API tells you the state on every response (`meta.status`, and `503 terms_unread` where a source is still gated). See [Freshness and availability](https://docs.aggre.org/concepts/freshness.md).

## Where to start

1. [Quickstart](https://docs.aggre.org/quickstart.md): get a key and make your first call in five minutes.
2. [Concepts](https://docs.aggre.org/concepts/response-format.md): the rules that hold on every route (envelope, errors, paging, attribution).
3. [Data API reference](https://docs.aggre.org/api/data.md): every route, its parameters and an example, generated from the OpenAPI file.
4. [For agents](https://docs.aggre.org/agents/overview.md): `.md` URLs, `llms.txt`, OpenAPI and the MCP compatibility routes.

## Agent friendly

Every page on this site has a Markdown twin: add `.md` to the address (`/quickstart` is also `/quickstart.md`, and this page is `/index.md`), or send `Accept: text/markdown`. Links inside the Markdown are absolute and point to other `.md` pages, so an agent that follows them stays in Markdown. [`/llms.txt`](https://docs.aggre.org/llms.txt) lists every page; [`/llms-full.txt`](https://docs.aggre.org/llms-full.txt) is all of them in one file.
