Console and accounts
Organizations and members
Create an organization, invite people, and what each role can do.
An organization is a shared account with its own API keys, usage and audit log. Create one at /orgs/new; you become its owner.
Roles#
An organization has owner, admin and member, and always at least one owner.
| Action | owner | admin | member |
|---|---|---|---|
| View the account, members, keys and usage | yes | yes | yes |
| View the audit log | yes | yes | no |
| Create, edit and revoke API keys | yes | yes | no |
| Rename the organization, edit its display name, delete it | yes | no | no |
Invite as member, revoke an invitation, remove a member | yes | yes | no |
Invite as admin or owner, change roles, remove anyone | yes | no | no |
| Leave the organization | yes (unless last owner) | yes | yes |
Invitations#
On the Members page an owner or admin invites someone with a role. No e-mail is sent: the console shows a one-time link (app.aggre.org/invitations/{token}) once, and you pass it on. The invitee opens it, signs in and accepts. The invitee must sign in with a method whose verified e-mail equals the invited address; otherwise the invitation is refused (email_mismatch). Invitations expire after the number of days GET /v1/config reports (invitation_ttl_days), and the preview works while signed out.
Handles#
An organization is addressed by its handle, in the same namespace as users. Only owners rename it; the first rename is free, later ones are limited to one per 30 days. Reserved words are refused. See Accounts API: handles.
Deleting#
Deleting an organization is permanent and only an owner can do it; you confirm by typing its handle. Leaving an organization is available to everyone except the last owner.
